So I have just upgraded my broadband and am concerned if I have made the right decision. I have upgraded to an average of 59 mbs download with guaranteed speed of 36 minimum. In my household there is 5 phones, a PS4 and a smart TV.
I was just wondering if these speeds given this information will be strong enough to comfortably stand an IPTV connection with minimal issues?
And how much mbs would be recommended if I was looking to try and run 2 IPTV connections in my household?
You should be okay ... I have a download speed of 75 Mbps and with a VPN this drops to between 35 - 50 Mbps. I would say though that with a VPN connected and if your download speed is at the minimum (36) you will be cutting it close. You made the right decision IMO.
Speed in itself doesnt really mean anything. theres a whole bunch of factors that go into iptv issues. Sometimes the quality of your connection is more important than a speedtest number.Dont expect zero issues just because your speed is good.
I get 30Mbps which runs 1 nvidia shield, 2 firesticks, 1 ps4, 1 Xbox, 3 iPads, 5 iPhones, 2 laptops and 3 desktop pcs (obviously not all at same time but you get the idea) and very very really get buffering. Iptv uses a lot less bandwidth than people presume
Ur fine, I had 18mb for years and only went up bc canceling my TV package saved me so much money it was no brainer cut a couple of bucks off the savings and move it towards a speed upgrade. I was going to just up it to 25mb, but they had a promo for 45mb so I took it. I can have all 4 of my tvs 📺 doing some sort of streaming or game play all at the same time and still have seamless access of 5th and 6th devices. Telcoms and cabcoms want you to think you need all these crazy bandwidths so they can squeeze you for a few more bucks.
yes, most iptv is actually 720p or less. also all streaming clients buffer a bit,
