Other niches?

I have to tell you IPTV has been great. It's not perfect and some services are more reliable than others but IPTV def has a niche and a place for it to justify the cost and annoyances.

But most people are not aware of IPTV, another example is Kodi or Emulators (play old school video game systems on PC, think SNES, Atari and quarter games in arcades).

What other "toys" are there that you know but most others have no idea? Curious into looking at other cool things general population are not aware of.

Virtual Private Servers (VPS)

Inexpensive and fun to install/configure/destroy/repeat

Quite straightforward to create your own VPN, seedbox, web server, URL shortener etc etc

I used the word "niche" just to describe that this activity is not well known. Of all my friends only 1 knew about it. Perhaps YOU have more friends that are in the know, but I assure you in the States not that many NON tech/IT people know about this. Regardless, my intent wasn't to categorize the mass market use of this, but to find out other cool things that if offered.

Another example is Switch's r/Amiibomb/ pretty cool. Thank you again for everyone that posted some cool "hobbies" to check out, and looking fwd to some more!

Piracy, in general, is an interesting area to explore.

I wouldn’t quite call IPTV niche. Services like Sling and HULU have made it pretty mainstream

Remember that most IPTV is illegal. Just as VOD apps and addons for kodi that are not official addons.
