Soon Google gonna release Google TV, if you are not in rush wait for it.
I have tried both Shield TV and MiBox and find that Shield TV is far superior for IPTV. Depending on which Shield TV you buy, you will need either a sd card or external hard drive for DVR purposes.
That box should run tivimate without a hitch. If you want power that’s future proof get a shield.
Shield pro for main tv, secondary (TVs) 4K firesticks or any working android box from last 3 years will do just fine.
As far as just iptv why is shield or formuler any better than a Firestick?
That box should play your iptv flawlessly. Make sure you perform the usual maintenance and you shouldn't need to buy any new box
Shield for IPTV + all around awesomeness. If you don't want the 'all around awesomeness', get a formuler Z8. But just get a Shield, and install either tivimate or imPlayer and you're all set.
