What is a MAG? STB? SmartSTB? Example option when buying iptv, it gives a choice: MAG/STB/SmartSTB US/UK/CA and the other is the same but just US. I understand the channel countries but not the former. I have a Nvdia Shield TV and trying to sign up for IPTV for the first time.

I just tried a one day trial with TNTiptv and now I’m debating whether to go with them or try another. Definitely need to know what this terminology means (I’m a noob). Thanks to one and all :)

Stick with m3u, you'll get more choice to explore different apps as a noob :)

Those options are very limiting imo :)

Mag - it’s a piece of hardware connected to your TV used to stream IPTV (its a piece of shit and no one in this sub recommends you ever use one)

I have a Shield and it’s fucking incredible - I use TiviMate with it - you put the m3u URL you get from your provider into it and it’s super easy

Haha I’m a marked person then. Thank you for the help, you’re nice.

Phew! Good that I don’t have to use a different box. It would be nice to hook up everything and watch it from my smart tv but I read somewhere that Samsung removed this Smart iptv app from the App Store so that’s unfortunate.

For me, I basically love sports and ppv etc so hopefully one of those that you suggest has plenty of it :)

P.S. I searched up Tivimate and it’s only giving me some app/player. It’s not a iptv service to pay for?
