New to IPTV streaming, please help

I’ve only recently started using IPTV on a firestick 4K. I pay for a subscription and use a login on a streaming player called IPTV Smarters. This app is great for live TV but the catch up feature is unusable, there is no way to fast forward or rewind so I’m stuck watching things as if they were live, when really what I want to do is skip to certain bits.

Is there something on the app that I should change, or is there a better player out there which has a usable catch up feature.

My stream format is set to MPEGGS(.ts)

Definitely switch to TiviMate as the other reply suggests!

You can even use network storage or an attached USB drive to record shows. I would definitely recommend changing the backwards skip to -15 seconds. The default one minute increments work great with catchup, which only operates in one minute chunks, but local recordings can benefit from a smaller skip increment.
