Complete noobs

by BigRedTone

Apart from the pinned message at the top of the thread are there other recommendations for noobs?

What’s the etiquette in posting stupid questions on here? Will everyone hate me?

Any other noobs who might want to buddy up and share learnings / mistakes etc? I’m in the U.K. and looking to get set up in time for the potential return of premier league football in a month or so.

Any advice or tips welcome :)

My recommendations are Don't buy off random sellers with 0 feedback.

Don't buy off anyone who is offering a whole year it won't last a fraction of that time.

Don't buy $5 a month subs you can not offer quality service if you are selling and making a profit if you charge that much.

Don't buy subs with plex included as a sweetener.

Don't trust any seller unless they have a long history and a good reputation on all of the IPTV subs.

Personally, in recent times I've only used TVnerdz off Reddit they are ok but IPTV is not my main access to the tv so I don't know what it is like long term. There are some decent resellers but they are few and far between on Reddit.

Be wary of scammers and there are lots of them read my recent scammer post.

Read some reviews from credible users of the subs, not shills and reseller pretending to be users good luck

I'm pretty much a noob myself and I have tried a lot of different services in the past few months and I can say that the worst have been those who offer 10,000+ channels. Not saying they are all like that, just the ones I've tried. So don't get amazed by the number channels.

By the way, my main provider is really cheap and is not advertised here, it's been pretty good so far, so I believe that because a service is cheap doesn't necessarily mean it sucks.

Just ask whatever you need help with, plenty around to help. Just have to try the different ones out there to see which suits you best.

Hi if you are looking for a subscription itself you should use the subreddit r/iptvreviews

read the reviews carefully, some will be legit others not so much

all sincere questions are fine as long as they adhere to the rules.

Try all the trials you can. I’m a noob myself and have probably trialed 15 different providers in the past 10 days. Pay for tivimate, it’s worth it in my opinion. I also think you can get a $5 sub that’s worth it. In my trials I’ve had $5 services that work just as well as $15, probably have the same sources.

Check out this website, they have a lot of information. I have used some of their walkthrus. https://troypoint.com/. vehaI Ii .

And definitely get a trial to evaluate the service, the apps, and the response time. I almost never take money and activate a subscription until I activate a trial and ensure they like it first. And most resellers, well at least any you want to deal with have the ability to setup a trial, extend it if you need more time, and or have a dedicated account just for using for new potential customers to use to try out the service. So don't buy the "I can't create trials" crap.

Also ask about their level of reselling? Are they a reseller of a reseller of a reseller, who probably can't actually get channels fixed or added, etc...or are they in communication with the actual admins that can fix Issues right away. Those are the sellers you want to work with. Normally not the cheapest, hell I'm not, but it's the level of service you're paying for too. Like for Live TV, can they escalate and get a channel fixed within a few minutes? Or for VOD service, can you ask for a particular show or movie to be added and it be done within a day or so?

That's the stuff I recommend looking for. Flashy websites or ads are just fluff and they're trying to get as much money as they can before whatever half-ass service they're reselling goes down.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

There are really good FAQs online to answer all your questions about IPTV. Always get trials before deciding. Never buy more months than you can afford to lose. If you need links for FAQs, just PM me.

I'm also pretty new to IPTV. My advice is to get 2 providers, and have one as a back up. Find 2 decent ones not overly expensive, if you can. I've found it's nice to have a back up if you're watching something & the channel decides to buffer or freeze, etc. You can just change to the other provider & not miss much.

As others have suggested, I'd reccommend getting the pro version of Tivimate. It makes it easy to use multiple providers and create cumulative favorite lists that include all providers.

Top tip, I’ll consider that. Or maybe try and get a free trial a back up for when there’s a big game on lol
