Noob Q 1 Recording on firestick

Hey,

So I’m brand new set up and getting excited about it all (firestick / tivimate premium). Notice you can record - assume that records to the firestick ?

Can I record to the (tb) hdd plugged into my (LG) smart tv instead of the (5gb) firestick?

I’m really happy with the $13/month provider who I’m trialling. Based on no comparison. All the channels I’d expected, loads of VOD.

Should I be sensible and trial others? Or can I carry on with a clear conscience?

Just an fyi - your provider might require you to have 2 connections in order to be able to record, as 1 connection will be used for recording and 1 for streaming

Does your provider offer catch up? I use that over recording things.

On tivi when in the tv guide if there is a little clock next to the channel that implies catchup. Push and hold left to scroll back through previous aired tv. Or when you are watching tv press left and you will see other catch up options.
