HELP!! IPTV service is blocked on my IP-address, IPTV provider blames ISP, ISP blames IPTV provider.

by FarFerry

TL:DR: What should I do?
IPTV Provider claims he does not hold a list with blocked IP-addresses and ISP says they never restrict customer access, because if net neutrality (EU-laws). But when pinging to the IPTV server, it clearly said time out the request when no VPN is on and shows 0% lost when VPN is on.
If there are any reseller/IPTV server owners active here please, explain to me how this (can) happen and what you should do to resolve this?

UPDATE:

Asked my friend (with the same ISP) to ping to the IPTV and what do you know, it worked for him.
So I could rule out that ISP is the one at fault.
Performed a tracert to the ip-address of IPTV server and it goes fine untill the last hop.

Somehow, it's blocked at his localhost, because when using another ip-address of his IPTV server that one follows all the same trace but does land in the final hop to his server.

So recently I came across an IPTV service and asked for a trial and reseller program. Gotten a trial link and everything seemed fine, until it didn't.The link for the trial I got worked fine, but I was not at home when testing it.Under the impression that (oh well the trial was fine at my friend's house, should be fine at home too).

Uhhhh wrong, while I was negotiating with the IPTV provider about some not working channels, he gave me another link for a trial. Now I was back at home and tried opening it, it didnt work. And I tried everything, GSE, Perfect Player, VLC, tried downloading the m3u-file nothings worked.I complained to the IPTV provider and he said it worked fine, try using "our" app.Which I did, downloaded the attached .apk file, and voila it did work.

I was satisfied, bought few credits and made my friend happy with his new IPTV on his STB Emulator. Now I tried to make m3u-link for myself and this is where the trouble came.I was back in the same spot as before, where the m3u-link just didn't work, now after buying the credits, I was assured that it should work since I knew and saw in the panel that my friend was happily enjoying his Discovery HD channels.

Began complaining to the IPTV provider again, he even mentioned that the link which I send him also worked. Now I was becoming paranoid and tried resetting the router and this is where I got my biggest clue. Because the router was rebooting, my phone lost wifi connection and jumped to 4G and for some reason he IPTV worked.

I thought oh that's strange and made a hotspot and connected my pc to it and voila it worked on my pc also. Which made me think maybe my access point/pfsence router was the problem.I was supposed to update pfsence anywway and so I did, tried again with WIFI, and back to the same problem. Channels just didn't load. Connected first to the Accesspoint and the Pfsence through cable and both of them didn't work.FYI, the internet comes in my house through the phone line with ADSL connection and my modem(no firewall) converts it and flows through the Pfsence(with firewall) to all my AP's.

If anything, connecting to the modem directly should show that the service worked and my PfSence configuration was at fault.

No, it didn't work at my modem either, this where I sat back on my couch and put my hands through all my quarantined grown hair and start pulling it off before I tried VPN and what do you know, It worked (while connected over WIFI to my AP).

One forum suggested when this happens, you should ping to the IPTV server and I did.Below the results, before putting the IPTV server on blast I want to know for sure the problem is at their end, hence why I removed their URL/IP addresses. C:\Users\Home>ping iptv server url

Pinging line.\ `iptvserve``.``abc [ip-address] with 32 bytes of data:`

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Ping statistics for ip-address:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)

Now contacted the ISP and IPTV provider. Both mentioned it not their doing that it is blocked.IPTV provider said the don't hold a list of blocked IP-addresses, and I wouldn't know why they would have the IP address I have never being a client of theirs with unpaid checks or created bad publicity for them. So I see no reason why they would block it.

I tried free/open IPTV links and they all did work. I tried another IPTV service which I had in the past, that one also worked. I would make no sense why would ISP block this one particular IPTV provider and not all other ones too.

Now I know the obvious answer, yOu sHoUlD aLwAyS uSe vPn wHeN uSiNg iPtV or *Dude, it works what ur problem?*VPN, yes I know that is true, and I am planning to, but I don't like the idea too that mine IP-address is blocked for no good reason, meaning my address I known and "saved" at some type of list/database.But mostly just WHY THE HELL IS MY IP ADDRESS BLOCKED?

And yes, it works now but I don't want to got through this shit again when lose a day trying to find out what the (next) problem could be when switching from IPTV/ISP.

If there are any reseller active here please, explain to me how this (can) happened and what you should do to resolve this?

ISPs aren't particularly fond of you using illegal IPTV services. This isn't on your provider. At all. Use a VPN like everyone else does. My ISP only blocks IPTV during major sporting events, but some will block it outright.

Newfeeflip

This happens all the time. IP blocked. Use a vpn. Or wait for the block to clear. If ur service works on mobile data but not your home network then it's a different ip you're using right? Clear sign it's an IP issue.

parkbench01

Could it be that some ports are blocked and not the ip?

Is there any safeguarding filters present? For example sly and BT use there shield service which can sometimes block connection to certain services.

My services are off also. I’m with gmasterpanel. And they took themselves off of the discord app. Is there anything I can do?

For me the solution right now is just use VPN. If your IPTV provider vanished I wouldn’t what to do, look for another IPTV provider?
