M3u4u deleted my playlist for inactivity?

by 1987Catz

...and I don't know why? I configured it one time in the beginning, then imported the resulting EPG in my Tivimate app. Since then I didn't need to tinker any further, it would get updated regularly. Now m3u4u deleted the playlist quoting "playlist has been unused for more than 30 days ".

I might not understand how this works, because I thought it was a "set up once and forget" type of deal. Now I'm upset since I did lose a bit of time perfecting the guide... What am I missing?

You need to download the M3U playlist (not the EPG) once a month to prevent deletion. Lots of people have had their playlist deleted for inactivity because they’re only using the EPG link.

You also get an email 7 days prior to deletion to warn you.

I’ve used it for around 6 months without any issues.

You need to use the playlist on a regular basis that is normal. Setup another player go add your oth playlist and epg from m3u4u use it once per week. It states this in their TOS. You know that thing nobody reads.

They did the same to me. I lost a bunch of customization. They said that I hadn't used the m3u, but I use it every night. So, I just moved back to XEEV.

Happened to me a little while back too. The dev was able to recover my playlist but then it happened again a few weeks later so I gave up.

They send emails in advance warning everyone of this.
