Mag or Formuler Z8 or neither

by restlesslegssyndrome

This might be a topic that’s been debated multiple times. But I’ve run IPTV ok my fire stick and on the Smart TV (Smarters IPTV) But for my parents I want a smoother and easier experience than the smart tv can provide,

i.e: I want to enter channel numbers on a remote 😂 But I also want to reduce the buffer time between channel starts and changes.

So would a dedicated box be the way to go, or is that a waste of money? What are the advantages?

Get an Nvidia Shield, UI makes it the simplest Android TV box to use.

Kockbite

Tivo Stream 4K. It's like a mini Sheild and the remote has numbers.

Dont buy MAG Boxes.. they blocking some IPTV Provider !!!

Used Firestick-Nvidia shield & Z8.

For IPTV purposes only the Z8.

If Netflix and YouTube are important to you as well then the Nvidia shield.

Formular z8 I have been converted to . I got to say it's actually an amazing set up remote is like any normal tv or set box remote best I seen so far .Able to add apps but really the mytvonline2 app is all you need . I am telling my customers to stay clear of firesticks for reason underpower and at any time amazon could take off the third party apps . Feel free to message me for more info on the z8 . Z8 10/10 . Also for a.cheap decent box the Android t9 works great for an other alternative box from the firestick . Firestick I tell customers if your connecting device using WiFi then go for the fire stick .

Formuler is so nice for a tv style set up! I like them so much I have bought 4 of them for the TVs in my house. Check out eBay. There is a seller you lists one each week starting at $0.99 and they usually sell for $115. As soon as a listing ends he starts another one.

Thank you all so much! Really great advice, I guess I’ll stick to getting a formuler then!

I've been using formuler z8 with my IPTV 2 for over 7 months now and I am extremely happy with it. The remote is great and a nice size. Switching channels is smooth and the guide is great depending on the provider.

The only inconvience I've had with this box is the remote would send random signals to my stereo amp when I would use it for the box until It would bug out and loose audio, I would have to shut the amp and turn it on again. I eventually just coved up the IR sensor on the amp and I did not use the remote for it anyway. The amp was a very cheap generic I got off Amazon

Formuler works well and is very easy to use. I initially bought it thinking I'd get it for my mom as well as.

Most people will recommend Nvidia Shield (stupid level of overkill for IPTV) or a Firestick (bad remote).

The downside to Formuler is that it doesn't have Android TV, so it can't play Netflix in HD.

I use ATV w/ I▶️TV (IPlayTV) I am limited on options via iOS but I like the set up.
