Is it possible to extract IPTV data from preconfigured box?

by Hotwinterdays

Maybe this is the wrong sub but is there a way I can extract relevant data from an IPTV box such as the M3U and EPD URL or something equally useful? I want to use Xteve to stream it from Plex.

Right now I have this Max TV Gold 5G box and it was pre-configured by some local reseller.

Edit: I am not as deeply steeped in the IPTV world as I'd like to be so forgive my misunderstanding -or complete lack of understanding- of various jargon, references, and concepts.

GOLD Iptv is only STBemu (android app) and MAG boxes.

Yes you can, You need a laptop to connect to the internet via Wifi, and then give sharing access to your Ethernet port that you will connect to that device, once the internet sharing is working properly, then you need an app called (Wireshark and start sniffing) and then open the stream on the box you will get the url.

Sounds like a lot of work when its probably much easier to subscribe to a service that supplies you with their M3U and EPG url.

Every IPTV service I have used supplies all the info needed to use any device or 3rd party app.

If the box is android you need to download a file manager then navigate inside the folders and look for the playlists etc thrn copy and paste but if they urls tjen you can from the iptv player that came with the box but if you just want to start learning about m3u etc then google for a start get the concept then start looking all over the net 😅

Try the app ‚e-channelizer‘ (windows). I use it for m3u lists to edit them an epg. But there are also options to read and write boxes. Maybe it is that what you search for.
