I've got an IPTV subscription running through the IPTV simple client. It works well for the most part, but takes ages to download and sort the 4000 odd channels, like 10 Minutes. I've tried using kodi's channel manager to remove channel groups, which works, but when I reload Kodi it reverts back to downloading the whole lot again. Is there someway of just getting the channel list and guide data for only a couple of groups? Thanks.
Start Kodi and go to System>PVR & Live TV>General and uncheck "Synchronise channel groups with backend(s)". Another option is to use an m3u editor like m3u4.com and hide the groups that you don't want to load.
You can pass your m3u list through another program to scrub it, get rid of unwanted channels and groups. Free programs like xTeVe, if you want complete control or use an online free web based application like m3u4u.com. They will in turn generate their own url for you to add to kodi simple client and will be all cleaned up.
Use a different program for your IPTV, don't go through kodi, your using android box ??
