What do lines mean in a IPTV service?

by jamjam01

I recently signed up for a 1 month + 3 line package. I thought 3 lines = 3 devices, is that true?

Basically lines = simultaneous connections.

Well, yes kind of. In the sense that if one device uses one connection but it could also mean 1 device that can record two channels while viewing a third or using picture-in-picture (PIP) to view 3 separate channels at the same time. So 3 connections means just that, you can have 3 channels(lines) connected to their server at any one time. Whether it be 3 devices or one device with 3 simultaneous connections as my example above or any other combination as long as it doesn't exceed a total of 3.

I use 3 lines so I can watch one channel and record two other channels at the same time.

yes , also depends on your provider , for example my current provider streamsflix allow 2 connections but it must be ( m3u + m3u ) or ( m3u + mac ) so check with your provider if they accespt ( mac + mac ) i think most providers dont

Better contact your IPTV provider and verify that information with them :)

So, this means that you can access the service for one month on three devices.
