So ive just upgraded to a new 2020 Sony 75inch.
I previously had a Samsung 55 curved with Smart STB which i have moved into the bedroom.
I found the app great with the speed and menu system. The wife likes it as "Sky" as possible with the interface. She didnt like the folder view in Smart IPTV (had that before the Smart STB but it was running at snail pace.) Any recomendations for apps?

I'd recommend iMPlayer or OTT Navigator. Both support Stalker servers as well as Xtream Codes and M3u URLs. Good luck and congrats on your nice TV! :)

Ballache if it’s anything like my Sony android So I’d recommend either a 4k firestick or Apple TV I’ve got all 3 above 👍

Lots of great features and the dev is very active. I use it on my Sony TV.
Tivo 4k is a great option. Much better than a firestick

Your new Sony runs Android amazingly quickly, same as mine. Get Tivimate . You won't need a firestick or shield.
r/iptv has a hard on for external players. You don't need one.
Presuming it's the Android TV operating system on your Sony, you can install TiviMate directly. But 100% TiviMate is the best software going for a sky like experience
