Smart IPTV channel list lagging

Hello guys,

I am recently suffering from random lags when using Smart IPTV on my Android TV.
It is working fine most of the time but sometimes when pressing OK in order to open the channel list it takes like 10-15 seconds to open the list.

Meanwhile the app and the streams are working fine. When pressing up and down on the remote while waiting for the list to show up the TV recognizes my input and performs everything after the list pops up.

What's strange is the fact that sometimes everything works fine but sometimes there is this delay.

Except this random delay everything is working fine.

I've already tried to reinstall the app and reload my playlist.. Playlist works fine on another Android TV with Smart IPTV on it.

Does anyone have a clue what's the cause of this may be? Maybe someone else who is suffering from same issues?

TV worked fine for like a year before it started lagging randomly a couple of days ago.

Use a playlist editor and trim the crap.

Your TV probably can't handle the large playlist.

I used SmartIPTV on my so-called "Smart" TV for several months with a number of random unsolved problems. I bought a cheap generic TV Box and now run TiviMate without issues. The "computer" in a smart TV, no matter what the brand or model, may not have the operating system, horsepower, memory, or storage you need.

You have an android tv, do yourself a favour: forget about smart iptv, install tivimate. Thank me later.

I already thought about this. But I do not think this will help since the TV with the problems is a Sony AF8 which is a high end TV.

My second TV is a Sony KDL50W807 which is mid range tv. However this one is working flawless. Only my bigger AF8 is suffering since a couple of days
