I have been using this server for 6 months with no problem and yesterday a page loads on my android box that says: “dns block; due to security reasons this website is blocked....”. I dont really want to pay for a VPN to get around this. I tried to change the dns in the android box to google dns (8.8.8.8), but made no difference. If i call the isp to reset my ip address will that remove the block? I use the same ISP at home with no issues, this only happened at my work. Also if i use m3u list from a website, would that work? (Currently i am using Stbemu with mac address). TIA
an ip address change on your end will not likely change anything. a vpn is the correct solution imho. most of the big ones have a trial. sign up, if it works, thats the issue. if not, cancel and you will not be charged.
if you have access to a m3u, you could try changing the hostname in the file to the ip address, that could possibly bypass the block, but you would have to do that every time.
might be time to pony up some vpn money..find someone to split it with
