Connections..?

by Dayze0

Hi, I'm new to IPTV and so have a noob question regarding IPTV Provider connections.

Am I right in thinking that if you have 2 connections from a provider that each connection can be ran on a separate firestick..? So effectively, it's almost 2 accounts or say multiroom, where you/others could watch 2 different stations at the same time, in different rooms...?

I'll go even further as well and say that ask your provider if you can use the 2 connections outside of your home. Some providers only allow 1 ip, eg other ip's likemobile data on the go, work pc, etc. are not allowed.

That's correct mate

Thanks for the reply and the answer mate. I thought it was that but just wasn't sure. I'll have to do some reading up on IPTV lol

I'd go a step further and say it's two concurrent connections. So for example you can have your playlsit setup on 5 devices but only using any 2 at one time

Will definitely have to ask or find out the answers to those, cheers

Another option to consider, is that if you have 2 connections, and have a player that can play PiP/split screen/etc., you can watch 2 channles (sporting events for instance) at the same time, on the same tv. That would effectively take up both connections.

And even further, if using a player that can record, TiviMate for example, you can watch one channel while recording another.
