Hi everyone! I was considering purchasing an appletv 5th gen for my home and I was wondering if it was comparable to use as an IPTV as well. I read on some sites that apps such as IPTVX and GSE Smart IPTV Pro work with 4th gen but nothing about 5th gen. Can someone confirm if these apps work on 5th gen as well? Best regards and take care.
While you can use the Apple TV device for iptv, it has less software options then android devices. If IPTV is the primary usage of the device, I would recommend an android tv device such as the nvidia shield. You will have many, many more software options than an apple device.
Yes u are good any apple TV 4 generation and above u can install apps to run iptv

Have you tried iTV Player for apple tv?
They work but I haven't found an app that can compete with tivimate at all yet.
