Minimum internet speed?

by Sisterevil8863

I just found out I qualify for an Internet at 9.99 per month as I have been sick and not working. Speeds of up to 25 megabits per second (where available) and up to 300 gigabits of data per month. Is this enough power to run an android box or other streaming service so I can get rid of my cable? My cable and tv currently is approximately $200 month.

I don’t know anything about fire sticks and all the other items available.

Thanks

Depending on how much and often you stream things on your IPTV account, 300 may run out quickly and you might find yourself incurring overage charges or having to limit how much you stream. It can run out quickly.

25Mbps is fine. The 300gb cap could be problematic depending on how much you stream.

KSD009

in the usa you have caps on your internet?

Dude if you can pay that subscribing, spend 1/4 of it on internet ffs

My parents qualified for Comcast essential and been using iptv for the last year or so. 25Mbps advertised but we average around 28Mbps. They stream iptv fine and has no complain. They stream YouTube and just watching TV shows from our home country.

Netflix says their HD streams use 3gb/hr so that would be 100 hrs/month. IPTV may be more or less but that gives you an idea.

It's enough...if you actually get it and don't use more than the 300 GB.

IMNSHO, though, you'd be better off with a reseller who offers unlimited cable Internet.

I only stream and I rack up 1700 megabytes per month give or take a 100 megabytes. I think you should:

  1. How much is unlimited Internet away from the TV package.
  2. Buy a andriod box but make sure it a box that update on its own like a amazon fire tv cube 4gb 32 gbor of space or a TiVo stick, or Nvidia Shield...they are the best box on the market. 3.check to see if you like the service that you will get as most thing are free, that if you won't to get a service that cost from $5-$50 give or take how long you want the package for 1 month - 1 year. 4.then you can make a decision to cut cord or stay with your provider.

But the 300 megabytes will run out in around 2-3 day you need unlimited.

Hope this help

And PS. When your looking around for information join group and listen to what people are saying in those group then make a judgement decision on can you trust this group

If your over 20 mbit youll be fine with most services.

Most SD/HD IPTV streams are 2-5Mbps. For most it's the quality of the connection (packet loss, etc.) more than a bandwidth limitation (as long as you're not doing lots of other things at once utilizing it).

25 should be fine, but not sure how long 300 would last you. If you can get unlimited, it would be better
