IPTV for Windows

by Cideroutlaw

I am currently using MyIPTV, IPTV Smaters and IPTV Stream but was wondering if there was a better alternatives out there? It seems to be a little thin on the windows front.

ProgDVB working great for me

Maximus_Sillius

SimpleTV. It's a "tweaked" version of VLC. Has been working perfectly for me.

You can make your own m3u files containing a single channel, so you can double click on the file & play that channel. (With vlc as default for m3u) Just search for the channel name in your m3u file and copy the EXTINF and http address, with #EXTM3U on the first line

#EXTM3U
EXTINF:
http://

You can create the m3u file with notepad. Select save as type = All Files and save as channelname.m3u

Try VLC media player. It will accept m3u lines

Personally found MyIPTV to be the best one for Windows; that said almost anything on Android (and even iOS now) seems to be much better and much more supported.

It does play vod. No catchup

The only windows player that does that is ipsmarters i think. But that software for windows is kind of buggy

For quite a few years I used a Kodi addon in Kodi for windows. It worked fine and did catchup and vod.

I only changed to android because my last iptv provider didnt do a kodi addon.

I now use Tivimate on a Firestick. It looks much nicer and I like the interface but I dont see any difference in the streams themselves.
