Suggestion requested for an Android Stick for running Tivimate or IPTv streaming on 1080p LED TV

by farrukhna

I have have an Android Box provided by my Internet provider for streaming local TV channels and it works fine, even though the model of the box is more than 6-7 years old and it's main specs are :

1 GB DDR3 RAM
8 GB EMMC
Quad Core Cortex A53

But when it comes to running iptv app like TiviMate, the whole interface lags more than 90% of the time and SD works fine but HD or FHD can be felt that it is stuttering and is not that smooth.

As I have now become a premium lifetime member of this great app, now I am confused between which Android TV stick to purchase which should be cheap enough as I have a 1080p LED for me.

So, can anyone advise me for this? Will the newly released Xiaomi Mi TV Stick will be good enough to run TiviMate flawlessly?

Thanks

I use an Nvidia Shield with no issues whatsoever

Xiaomi Mi Stick works great, had mine for 3 weeks and tried TiviMate and GSE and both worked without any problems. The only downside is that the cable that comes with the unit is very short, not a problem if you’re gonna use the USB port on the TV to power it but if you gonna use the wall adapter and not have the wall outlet next to the TV you probably need to use/buy another cable.

I have both the 2019 Shield Pro and the 4K Firestick.

For your requirements the Firestick will be sufficient imo.

That depends on what your needs are, or future wants. If you're just using IPTV as a standalone the the 4k FS will do just fine.

But if you wish to create an entertainment hub to include gaming, music, Plex, etc., then I suggest a Shield TV whichever one you can afford.

Get yourself a "FORMULER Z8" and I guarantee you all that buffering will stop!!!
