I’m looking for a source on cheap android tv boxes, that we can lockdown to only use a player app with only one channel (making this as idiot-proof as possible for hotels and restaurants). Plug it into a tv or headend, turn it on and it plays. Non-attended. Stereo sound, 4:3 or 16:9 854x480 SD, 1.5 to 2.5mbps
Which units would you consider ideal for a 24/7 use like this?
Get a formuler nano, it's Their cheapest box and has this ability and you can have the boxes locked down so they only show the one channel as you described, prevent users from messing with settings. Etc.
