Stream urls and their consistency (or lack of?)

by s0ulslack

I'm talking about individual urls for each channel in the m3u; Is your provider stable? Do they seem to switch channel urls often, not so often etc?

I've been with a handful of providers and none of them seem to know wtf they're doing. I get streams change sometimes but does that mean you need to switch the url to another channel?

Lets say http://onlyvip.zxy/0134143/123467/175987 is HBO, awesome I put that in my very small m3u I load locally as HBO. I watch it for a day, week whatever. I sit down and tune to HBO (/175987) but some foreign channel comes on... SOB. You admins need to put a little effort in, not all of us use those shitty apps that load a 6mb m3u!

Sounds like to me if this issue is happening constantly, you need to find another provider. I mean this has happened to me in the past and it would be fixed fairly fast, no IPTV is perfect, but there is obviously a line to be drawn. Just like anything you buy, you get what you pay for so stay clear of these people offering $25/year subscriptions.

I think you should look at M3U4U.

What you need to do is ask your IPTV service provider if they can edit categories/groups at their end so the m3u file will be smaller

Due to the nature of IPTV the URLs will probably change a lot in most cases. Are there even any truly legit providers? That would be the only time I would expect a completely consistent service, if I was actually paying a premium to the correct people for the channels, instead of a group of people or person just packaging up hundreds of illegal sources into an "IPTV package"...

..also consider a lot of people are just resellers and have little or no control over the service.
