Get a VPN

Without VPN in Comcast I get no feed from my iptv server. It’s pingable .. it connects and loads but all the channels are black with no sound. With VPN , service automatically connects and I get audio video . My iptv has a VoD section . Without vpn it will load the list of titles but if you click on the link it will say this file doesn’t exist. With VPN everything works as expected. My iptv service told me don’t use VPN, however my service doesn’t work without VPN. So do with that what you want .

Vpn has been dodgy. They damn near fried their router/modem yesterday. Had to call them to reset as it stopped totally. Bring back Net Neutrality please!

But your own modem/router. All I do is stream IPTV and VOD with no throttling issues. They will throttle you if you use their equipment.

Can't say the same. My parents on comcrap and it hasn't buffer or else I would get constant phone calls complaining.... Lol

Vpn stopped the stuttering/buffering. Would an aftermarket modem/router help?

It’s beating the vpn on my 4K stick but not my shield

I was having issues last week with my IPTV service and the cinema app. Neither would work. Turned on VPN and no issues. However, it ended up being an issue on Comcast’s end and was fixed the day after. My friend who lives a block away has no issues with IPTV but cinema doesn’t load. I turned on VPN from his house and no issues after. He’s trying to get Comcast to hopefully fix it.

I do wonder if they are staring to block illegal streaming though

I've been using Comcast for almost a year now. Bought my own modem and router. Have a VPN but hardly used it much until the last 2 months when streaming IPTV. Noticed throttling going on and since using my VPN more streaming has been pretty stable

Haven't noticed anything. I have Comcast business.
