On a 4K firestick m using vlc player to play iptv and VOD sometimes though it’s been spinning. Do I need hardware acceleration disabled? And do I need to change cache settings? Not sure all the specifics.....thanks

Not using a firestick, but I switched to MXplayer a few months back and find it to be much better than VLC.
Definitely MX over VLC
I agree MX player seems to work better for live TV while VLC works better for VOD content
There are apps more efficient useful like , MiIPTVplayer , duplexiptv,iptvsmarterpro
Why not using an app designed for IPTV and VODS altogether?
