Looking for a parent friendly setup so they can plug and play in the UK ? I will of course set it all up and have looked at simple to use android boxes to load tivimate but wondering if a mag box would be preferable? Thanks

Both my parents use a mag box for the reasons you state. They both work perfectly

Never ever ever get a MAG box for IPTV.
Just a warning and there’s WAY better devices out therr
Imo iptv which has Mac binding works well with msg box everything else a fire stick 4k is good enough for more than half of price

Absolutely they do - unfortunately, more and more services are going M3U only however the bulk of them absolutely offer a MAG option!
For older folks stay away from anything Droid related. You're on the right path by going with Mag!
I have use Mag boxes for the las 5 years (250 and 254) since last update (april 2019) they mess up everything, many people have complain because of the restarting box every 5 min, or a lot of box freezing for no reason. I decided to change 4 months ago, a android Formuler z8, best thing I have done, easy to use, and the app they use to watch iptv is fastatic, maybe is a little bit expensive but worth it.
