OTT Navigator ( r/OttNavigator ) has such feature - if you enable channels deduplication, duplicated channels will be merged into a single record, and if playback error occures, it will auto switch to the next source.
TVHeadend does have this capability but you will have to manually set up each channel with all the streams you want cycled. You will need to assign a priority value to each stream. You can also set the timeout value before cycling to the next stream. For example:
I have 3 ESPN channels (East Server, West Server and Backup Server), I have assigned priority 3 to the East Server, priority 2 to the West and priority 1 to the Back-up Server (the higher the number the higher the priority). I have set the channel timeout to 5 seconds. When tuning to the ESPN, East Server is up first, if no signal, after 5 seconds it will try the West server and so on..
TVH is extremely powerful and has TONS of features, it's just a shame that it is not more popular but I understand why. It is for the geeky crowd and not noob friendly.
