My own IPTV

by pilothobs

Hello All

I have set up a playlist that is saved to a m3u file that I access from emby on several tv's. My tuner is a HD Homerun with 2 built in tuners.

When I try to connect 3 tv's it won't play. Obviously there is a turner limitation.

My question is this: When you create a m3u file and play from that how come it still has the turner limitation?

How do you get multiple clients on a IPTV Playlist without the tuner limitation?

Thanks

If you are talking about wanting to stream 3 different streams(channels) at the same time, you obviously can't do because only two channels/streams can be tuned at any given time since you only have two tuners or are you talking about streaming the same channel on multiple TVs. In this case you can do this but you will need software in between the tuner and the TVs that can record the stream while simultaneously streaming it to different clients at the same time, something like TvHeadend will let you do that.

You get a better tuner.

No matter what else you setup, your tuner can only do 2 channels at once.

So you can only stream out two channels at once.
