I have a five year old Sharp Roku TV which i don’t love because it’s very unresponsive and slow at this point.
(I currently watch IPTV by either screen mirroring from laptop or casting from my iPhone’s Web Video Caster app. Both suck.)
What do folks recommend for watching IPTV? I was considering using my existing RokuTV as a dumb terminal and plugging in an Nvidia Shield or Firestick into the HDMI port.
Or would I be better off buying a new Sony Android TV and using Tivimate?
I had a Roku 3 for years with different IPTV services. One day, Roku blocked my app permanently. So I tried side-loading an app to run an IPTV. Roku eventually blocked my account from doing this. Tried using different new accounts. They blocked me at every turn so much so I suspect they blocked my Roku's physical mac address.
Trust me when I say; don't even bother with a Roku. Go with a Fire Stick or a Shield TV or any other proper Android TV box. Personally, I went with a Shield TV and loving it.
No need for a shield if you only looking to do tv,get a shield only if you gonna do gaming...
Better off getting an android box. Can even try Firestick
