Hisense Roku TV - is it possible to get IPTV?

by [deleted]

How do I get IPTV on a new Hisense Roku TV - is it possible at all anymore?

IPTV on Roku is either dead, or if it's alive it's only ever alive for a short while. Get a Firestick instead (or android box)

dub_starr

buy a cheap device, like firestick or generic android box for that one purpose.

Some goof was spamming my FB feed yesterday with their IPTV on Roku product. I don't see any point in naming them. It looks like any sort of "million channel" IPTV offering and apparently they have a privately listed app on the Roku store.

Made me laugh. Single digits days before Roku takes that down, and then what? That's just not the platform to be on for IPTV. Not now.

xTeVe + Plex (or Emby/Jellyfin if you like)

satvision83

It's not possible at all.

Look for a proper Android box such as: Nvidia Shield TV, Xiaomi Mi Box S or Amazon Firestick TV.

IPTV Smarters is removed from Roku app store recently. Directly it's not possible. As stated in previous posts, external Plex or Ministra server with a player installed into Roku may work but no worth.

Buy a Tivo 4K Android TV device, no limits. Onboard DNS, onboard VPN will also be possible.

Don't Hisense tv's now use Android TV?

I think webvideocast app worked last time I was at my parents house

Doesn't Roku still have an Emby client? If so, there you are...

bhavesh_2500

You can use it but access is not easy

Use Emby (paid) / JellyFin (free) or find a service that offers Ministra app access.
