Weird thing. My new iptv is not working when i use a regular openvpn connection. I get a error 401.
The only way to make it work is by using wireguard. Why would that be? I prefer wireguard but atm my router (RT-AC87U on merlin fw) only supports openvpn. I prefer handling the vpn connection from the router than directly on the andoird tv box.
My vpn service provides a wireguard android client but it is very poor on android tv and i have to use a usb mouse to enable it. Hence my reason to prefer using the router for vpn.
any recommendation/ideas?
It could be the ip address the vpn is using is blocked for some reason.
Try setting up a few different vpn servers for different countries to see if one of them works.
