EPG Provider

I'm looking for a new EPG provider and, after combing through the existing posts and comments on the matter...I still haven't quite found what I'm looking for.

I have a rather insane setup that "crunches" the raw M3U info from multiple providers (based upon reliability, channel offerings, etc) into something that looks very much like a normal channel interface (read: it passes the wife test).

Anyways, I currently have a subscription to XMLTV.co but their service seems to be hanging on by a thread. I can't actually log into my account since it thinks I don't exist (can't reset password, etc). So essentially, I'm looking for a replacement provider where I can programatically download the EPG file and match it up with the tvg-ids that I have internally.

I've looked at epg-best and m3u4u and they both require you to upload your playlist in order to get the EPG processed which I really don't want to do. I dynamically generate M3Us (based upon a variety of factors) and I host my own, customized EPG xml (I ingest the "main" XML file every 12 hours and process it...throwing away what I don't need.

Again, XMLTV.co has been amazing but I get a sneaking suspicion that they might not be around and I want to be prepared. Also, I'm really only interested in US/UK channels, regional sports, and local channels. Nothing too exotic.

Just create your own epg using webgrab+.. It's probably cheaper

Uploading the m3u file is essential, otherwise how would the thing know which tv channel belongs to which epg channel. None the less you can use epg.best without uploading the m3u file and generating only an xml file after you chose the channels you want. You just have to disable the editor in your profile on their website.

https://epg.best is and stays the best epg service. Their m3u editor has way more features than m3u4u or xeev. M3u4u is anyway a cheap copy of xeev.

Epg best has the most channel and the best data. Of course if you use Tivimate which can display only a title and a description, you won't see what you miss with epg.best's data, which has episode numbers, actor names, production year and much more.

Their AndroidTV app can show posters and descriptions and all the other data for almost every VOD movie on the fly. Tivimate can not do that.

If you pay for anything else than epg.best, you are throwing away your money.
