Do all IPTV service providers give you a M3U URL to use with Tivimate when you subscribe?

by IroncladDiplomat

Hello, just a quick question. I'm trying my first ever IPTV service Trial, and it's working well but the software/UI is not great. I would prefer to use it with Tivimate, but I wan't provided a M3U URL or any playlist URL during the trial. When you subscribe do they typically provide that? Or do some providers force you to use the app they provide? Thanks

Quite a few force you to use their own apps and won't give you an m3u now adays. I personally refuse to ever use these services as i like to have MY choices of apps and not theirs.

Not all do.. Some use MAC based service which does not work with tivimate. Make sure you ask before subscribing.

I agree with Baytown. Login with Xtream codes is the simplest method, IMO. If the IPTV supplier can't provide that, I'm looking elsewhere. Tivimate rocks, as a player. 👍

If their app is some clone of smarters or the like, just open a channel in mx player as external player, go to settings > tools > properties and under file path you will see the server url and port along with your username and password, use those credentials to load your playlist in tivimate.

Glad to hear so many feel the same as I do. Use only Tivimate.

The reason more and more providers force to use their hard coded apps is for security reasons. They want to hide their DNS, so it may be a bit harder for the feds to shut them down.

Of course you don't have to accept that, you can also come crying here when you paid for a service and it get shut down.

some are just trying to protect themselves by hiding their DNS, although it doesn't really work, I've had a couple of subs from providers that went to all sorts of lengths to hide it but you can still sniff it out and use it in tivimate.
