I just got tivimate and i'm not sure how it works, i paid the 5 bucks and i assumed it had the m3u link already on it. do u get a link for what you pay? or the 5 bucks is just for the player.

All IPTV related subs, as well as loosely related subs, should have a knowledgebase and test before people are allow to join and post anything. Before people are allow to pay a penny for anything. Threads like this are fucking tragic.
I only recently purchased it for use myself, had tried the free version but did not spend a lot of time playing around with it.
Get an IPTV service that allows at least 2 connections so that you can record a different channel to what you may be watching.

Just get iMPlayer. Much better than TIvimate. r/iMPlayer
The 5 bucks is just for the player. You need to have a source for the channels. Once you have it, tivimate is (for me) the best player out there
