How does this works exactly?

by FreemanPR1

Hello everyone,

I was watching some things about IPTV and the advantages of having the services. But when you do the steps to connect, what does the company of your services gives you? Someone said and URL, someone said user and password and someone told me that they just give you an URL and you have to fragment the URL so you could get your user password and URL access coding. Any answers will be appreciated.

Sincerely,

FPR1

It's dependant on the devices they support & the device(s) you have. When you subscribe, you select an option. e.g. for an android box, you'll usually get a URL and a username & password. Some suppliers may have their own app. For an enigma2 device, you'll normally get an m3u url and an epg url. Many services will just give you info on access by a number of different methods.

Yea you’ll get either a m3u URL that has your login and password integrated into the url or you will use an xtreme login url and type in your username and password separately.

Both can be used interchangeably though. You can extract the info needed from a m3u url to know your xtreme login info.

There is also the mac based variants running Stalker/Ministra which requires the mac address from your device and you would be given a portal url to input on your device/app. These servers cost a bit more but offer greater stability and reliability.

For mac based generally little to zero lag outside of specific channel feed issues.
