No ip lock question.

by Nurrock

I have a service with 5 connections, no ip lock. I have tried to research this answer, however I have not been able to obtain a clear answer. I apologize if this has been asked and if so direct me in the right direction.

I have 5 connections no ip lock. One of my sons moved out. Since there is no ip lock, can he use 1 of my connections at his house while I use mine at the same time?

Yes. That's what no ip lock means.. Connections can come from multiple ip addresses simultaneously.

Sometimes it’s no ip lock but MAC address will be registered, which means the connections are locked to the 5 devices you have registered for example, in such instances usually you get a management panel on the provider’s site to remove and add other mac addresses.

I use mine at home and work without any issues..

Depends. Most providers mean no ip lock, but no sharing. No ip lock usually means you watch on your phone or on travel (laptop and such).
