VPN recommendation

Hey there, like the title says, I'm looking for VPN recommendations. I've been using ipvanish this past year and now that my membership is over I'm looking to try a different VPN. I know that using a vpn hinders your internet speeds but using ipvanish typically would cut my download speed by 50-60%. I just find that to be too big of a hit and when using ipvanish my iptv service would constantly buffer. I contacted their support and did some troubleshooting, but was still getting my speeds greatly affected. They said it was normal but I think I just need to try a different VPN service.

I'm currently using fire tv sticks in all of my tvs, using WiFi and cannot do hardwire connections due to the layout of my apartment.

If anyone is using a different VPN service with their fire tv, what is your recommendation and experience with that vpn.

All help is greatly appreciated.

WIDEVPN is garbage. Do NOT waste your time or money. Get Surfshark. Very good pricing and has all the bells and whistles you need including Wireguard. Download v2.6.7 of Surfshark

I have both ExpressVPN and NordVPN. Both maintain your speed great. My dad uses it for his IPTV and he gets 70MBs out of his 100MB when hes on VPN, sot hats great. At my house same thing, I get 80% of my speed with ExpressVPN. I use NordVPN for my iPhone when I'm on the go.

Surfshark is the way to go for sure. It's what I use and speed loss is minimal and significantly less than others that cost 2-3 xs as much or more. U get unlimited devices, true no logs and it's 48 bucks for 2 years. I'm gonna renew mine for sure.

Your problem is the firestick. It doesn't have a fast enough processor. I switched to Nvidia Shield TV, and my VPN now has a 10-20% drop

I only used NordVPN, didn't disappoint me. It didn't change my speed.

Every user is going to have slightly different VPN needs, and the best way to pick the ideal VPN service is to take careful stock of what your needs are.

I'm UK based and I've tried nord, surfshark and ipvanish. ipvanish is too slow for me. surfshark is great because its cheap and has decent speeds. nord is better than both but limits the number of devices you can use.

recently the Premier league has started blocking on a whole new level. I can't even use UK based servers anymore, my most reliable vpn right now is nord connected to a German based server. I am looking at trying express now to see if that fares any better.

I have it set up through openvpn on my router so I've cut out any compatibility issues.

For those of you that are using a vpn, what are your settings look like? Reason I ask is that I have my fire tv stick connected using ethernet with surfshark and my speeds are literally 10% of what they should be. My download speed using WiFi with 5ghz is 230 down, with ehrenberg because of the limitations of fire tv goes down to 100 down, but when I activate my vpn it slows to 1 mb down. I the vpn protocol to open vpn UDP but it only goes up to 10 down. Something here is not right.....

I had IPVanish for over 2 years. It was good until lately speeds have dropped dramatically. I didn't renew it and went with NordVPN and it's been great. Speeds are much better now

I tried Surfshark out but speeds I was getting were terrible even with a server only 45 mins from me too

recommend widevpn, support wireguard and openvpn protocols, unblock any streaming content, for firetv only use ikev2 app .
