I got a new spectrum modem and my service is no good anymore I don't have an option for 2G or 5G it's all under one name supposably these smart modems switch over to 2G or 5G on their own depending on what you are streaming. Is anybody having problems with spectrums new equipment?
Former Spectrum field tech. It is not dependent on what you are streaming it is depending on your device. If your device supports 5g and your signal is good it will use that signal, otherwise you get the 2.4g. For the most part as a former tech we always suggested using just the modem from us and getting a router of your own.
