Firestick 4K vs Chromecast 2020

Since Google now have released updated Chromecast running Google TV OS, I am curious if anyone have experience running IPTV Smarters on both mentioned devices.

Currently I have Smarters running on Firestick 4K, while in general I have great experience, from time to time Firestick randomly experience buffering issue (tried many channals same result), unfortunately rebooting and clearing cache did not fix the issue. While this happening, I run another stream from my computer and streams were buffer free. Internet speed is 100Mbps down, no wifi speed restriction.

If anyone can share experience with Chromecast running Smarters I would really appreciate it.

I have the new chromecast but I use tivimate not Smarters but tivimate runs great so I don't see why Smarters wouldn't. Chromecast runs a version of Android TV so I don't see why it wouldn't work great. BTW, you should really move away from Smarters..that is one piece of crap.

I have a firestick 4k and have tons of issues. it went through a phase of just disconnecting from my wifi every hour or so. Only way i managed to fix it was factory resetting my router and completely resetting it up.

I am having same problem with iptv on firestick, iptv works perfect on Samsung Tablet and phone, what do I need to wire firestick to router, thanks.

I don't have the Chromecast, but from what I've read it's slightly faster than fire stick 4k but has a poor remote control compared to the fire stick with power and volume controls

As steps for troubleshooting the issues, try using the little HDMI extender if you haven't already, try using 5 GHz wifi network if you're on 2.4 GHz, and finally try setting channel 36 or 40 on your wireless router for 5 GHz
