VPN while streaming IPTV

by FreemanPR1

Hello,

There’s lots of specials VPNs services that they’re functions are for different purposes such as obfuscated VPN for regions with Netflix limitations. In IPTV, which kind of VPN is the best, P2P, Onion, DEDICATED IP, Obfuscated or Double VPN? Any answer will be kindly appreciated.

All of what you described is Nord. Nord is good, but IMO, Surfshark is the best All Around!

Regular VPN is best choice. Then do p2p. Every thing else is a major bottle neck. Dedicated ip costs more. Yes that all looks like Nord. Do a speed test after connecting. Need above 20mbps for decent results.

Nord vpn or ipvanish, both good vpn for FS.

Just about any popular VPN service should do fine. Whether it be Private Internet Access, TorGuard, SurfShark, NordVPN. If you're just streaming IPTV, any of them will do the trick. Make sure the service you pick has a server close to you. Stick with either OpenVPN or WireGuard for which protocol you use, but try use WireGuard if possible, as it uses less resources. Don't bother with any other additional features which could increase your latency, slow down your speed, or worsen your experience.

I’ve had ipVanish for about 2 years, I’m in the UK, whitelist is fine, multi license so it’s on all mine and my families devices, handy having spit tunnelling so I can have it ‘always on’ my Shield TV and still get BBC iPlayer when needed.

Nord and surfshark are the best. I am currently using IPVanish which works well. I normally use the Netherlands or the Belgium server as it works best.

i have had private internet access - pia - for a couple of years, haven't had any issues and there servers give me over 300mbps so no bottleneck there. and i have used it for all types of apps/services and haven't had any issues, just my 2c. good luck!

I've been using Windscribe for more than a year and it's great

Hopefully not a stupid question but does the speed get impacted if you are connecting to a VPN server further away? For example if someone in Toronto uses a Toronto server versus one in Europe. Would the closest server usually be faster than the other further away?

I tried nord with my video and basically couldn’t access my IPTV services. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
