I use Prog DVB
I've heard about NextPVR but never used it
Plex server
I made a batch script that let you drag and drop your m3u file over it, in order to create a menu and let you choose what stream do you want to download on your PC !
REMARK : This batch script require ffmpeg with it to do his work !
Genuine question, What is out there worth recording?
Thanks.......... Oh I totally forgot to mention that Russian IPTV player which is based in VLC if im not mistaken where you can shedule record but im concerned about the video quality. Which records it in the best possible quality?
Depends. You could use VLC to record a stream or ffmpeg but if you're looking for DVR style series recording I'd say xteve (free program that emulates a TV tuner for Plex) and Plex Pass ($5 a month) which unlocks Plex live TV & DVR.
I've personally gone the xteve and Plex pass route which works great for using it throughout the house on our devices and record our shows to our NAS.
