Watching on PC?

by rmanTX

What program is everyone using to watch on their PC? I just set it up with VLC and am underwhelmed without categories. Did I do something wrong? Is there a better program?

Would really prefer not to have a million channels in 1 bucket

Kodi

I use best iptv player and myiptv player both in the Windows store. I prefer best iptv player, the epg and layout is very good

Kodi is by far the best if you can find a provider. Don't listen to the haters who do not understand how Kodi works. It's HTPC software way more high end then these little crappy apps people are pushing. Worst case use progtv Atleast you can add lav filters.

Best-Iptv player easily

Running Tivimate on Bluestacks has been working flawlessly for me

SimpleTV

nanhaitz

ProgDVB is the best imo

The options for PCs are limited, most of the support is geared toward streaming apps and devices primarily for android since most people like to watch on TV instead of computers. Some provider provide a web player so ask your provider and see if they have web support.

Find a provider with a web portal. Problem solved.

If someone mentions blurstacks you might as well jsut ignore everything they say. Unless you are looking for low quality?

I can't get a straight answer from this sub whether bluestacks uses hardware video decoding or not. (Check your CPU usage or see if your battery is draining on your laptop)

Iptv Smarters for windows. Most good services also have their own web players.

Kodi and the Simple IPTV Client plugin.

Smarters for Windows

Bluestacks is fine if you allow virtualization in bios. Kodi is outdated, too many variables across too many dependant programs means lots can and always will go wrong๐Ÿ˜ญ. KODI IS USELESS ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚Even for IPTV. Just because you don't understand bluestacks doesn't mean it's not good lol.

shakkabro9

myiptv player in windows is ok, otherwise use bluestacks and run tivimate which is what i mainly do

digiwaz

VLC can only help with M3U but I believe kodi, GSE and Smarters iptv pro is so far best for windows and most of my clients are relying on these apps.

tvnut58

Like I said it came from the Kodi site a few years back. I'll let them know you think its wrong.

jameskoczubik

kodi works really well. smarters app is free in the windows store also. I do however just tend to use vlc and the search bar to find whatever channel I'm looking for.

I have tried a lot of programs, but I ended up with ProgTV. Very good and easy to use. Support EPG.

if you wanted to mess with it, the Linux Mint Team just created an IPTV player and loaded the basic free iptv streams on it - you can add your own m3u streams too

it's called hypnotix - no guarantee they'll keep developing it but it's an easy freebie and has a lot of the French stuff I like to watch
