Tivimate works all the time for me too. Literally just started using it yesterday. Love it

FYI, in order to record with any of the apps that support recording you need to have a service with multiple connection. If you only have one connection you will not be able to record and watch tv at the same time.
CosmiDVR has a feature to watch while recording and this way you can record and watch with 1 connection.
Here is how it works... if you want to record the show you are watching then press record and immediately go to the DVR Section, select the show that is currently recording and Select Watch. This way you can record and watch with 1 connection service!
Everytime I use tivimate it records a minute and stops. I’ll have to look into it. Maybe I need to close my second connection completely to record properly.
How are you set up?
Iptv Extreme Pro. Built in DVR, you'll need to attach some external storage. Version 108 is current. Excellent app.

You could use plex with xteve and DVR that way. Not sure if you’ll need a plex pass or not though.
