I want finally also an IPTV device and was looking for a not that expensive one. My first choice was the Formuler Z8 but in the last couple of days, I saw many "not happy" feedbacks about the Z8. TBH the only reason for me to buy the z8 was the great player but is it worth it if I can get the Firetv Cube 4k for about 50€ ~? I would use the device only for IPTV and my PLEX mediathek

I think fire tv cube is a better option
If you want it for iptv. Formuler is second to none. Nothing gives you the true feel of a tv box like mytvonline 2 and a proper tv remote ..
Watching TV with a Netflix remote just isn't the same
I mean the Shield is the best device but if you don’t want to spend the money the formular is better than the fire TV.
I have an nvidia shield, and the firestick 4k. I have been using both for the last year or so, Last week I ordered the Z8Pro. It can be had on their website for around 140 us.
The main reason I went with the z8 is I wanted the ability to pause and rewind live tv. You cant do that yet with tivimate. Also, when you add a thumb drive to the formuler, it can be removed and put in a standard laptop. You cant do that with Shield or Firestick. As I understand it, the formuler does one thing exceptionally well....That's IPTV, and that is what I was looking for.
The z8pro got the new windvine so maybe netflix will certify them. I went to the r/Formuler and found a lot of stuff that helped me make the decision. Good luck with whatever you decide,

I’m using a 4K fire stick with my IPTV service using the TiviMate Player and apps like Cinema HD, CyberFlix TV and others.... I got my my 4k stick hardwired to my router and it works perfect.. it comes down to how you have your device set up which can make or break it.. I have 128GB flash drive connected to my 4k stick and also running a custom launcher called the wolf launcher and I have some programs running that disable all the Amazon BLOATWARE and to stop automatic software updates... my fire stick runs better now than it did when it was brand new...
