I have a new Dreamlink T2 which I understand plays 4K. In the video settings (in the Android app) however, the maximum listed is 1080p. My provider claims to provide 4K though I am skeptical. Am I missing another setting or is the 4K option only available if the provider streams UHD?
That’s my problem. 2160 doesn’t appear as an option in the Dreamlink display options
I just subscribed to a month of programming and the 4K channels are black. Not sure if the t2 I have isn’t configured right. Or maybe the DOL2 doesn’t work with 4k
I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy. It turned out that the receiver that I was routing the HDMI between the Dreamlink and the TV couldn't handle the Dreamlink 2160. When I connected the TV directly to the Dreamlink it worked as it did when I upgraded the receiver and HDMI cable (to HDMI 2.0)
This is what google told me:
"Make sure your refresh rate is set to your tv's rate
If you own a 4K TV,The T2 4K settings are 2160p
Goto Settings/Android/Scroll down to Display/click Custom Display Format.
There you can set it to whatever is listed from 720,1080 or 2160."
