Cause this belongs on a covid relief bill

I understand completely as they are talking 10 years along with massive fines plus not to mention a felony on record. I still don't understand why they would ride this on a covid bill as it should be there least worry. Our politicians are too much in bed with the lobbyists that keep them rich once they are out of office. I can remember when we had the big ugly satellite dish and card would get zapped and always was someone locally who would reprogram the card and it could work for several weeks and sometimes a few days.

I watch less and less tv now anyway so all this does is push me away from watching anything new and end up rewatching stuff I’ve seen years ago.

Yeah making it a felony would make people like myself think twice. Resellers will be worried. Crypto is only anonymous to a certain point as they just have to dig a little more. Maybe use a different name and purchase seedbox for movies with Crypto and hope they don't follow the money trail from where the Crypto was purchased and along to what wallets that it was sent to. Heck a subscription to every service would put a hole in the pocket book. I already have prime video, netflix, and hulu, Disney, and ESPN come with my Verizon plan. Live TV would cost another 50$ to 100$ a month. Cable companies have been ripping us off for years. Not to mention the disagreements the providers have with losing channels and wanna charge us more to keep them.
