IPTV Player

by Narykz

I'm looking for some IPTV Player that can change the video resolution of a live TV broadcast.

I have a bit slow internet connection and the IPTV links that I have has 720p resolution and it is a lil bit laggy sometimes. I want a player that can change the resolution for at least 360p.

Thank You!

I don’t think there’s any IPTV players out there that are able to change the resolution for live TV... Have you tried connecting your device with a ethernet cable since you have slow Internet... A ethernet cable will give you a more reliable and stable connection then Wi-Fi will....

It will be “easier” to find a provider that gives you SD feeds

I don't think that would work. if anything it would make things slower as your device would need to download the feed that is 720p and then transcode it to 360p. finding a provider with SD feeds would be a better option

Switch from MPEG-TS to HLS streams and it will automatically downgrade when the connection is slower (if your provider supports it). In the URL I think you change OUTPUT=ts to OUTPUT=m3u8

Changing that worked for me in the past IIRC.

You would need to check with you IPTV Provider if they have lower stream resolutions/qualities.

Down-scaling an ongoing stream won't help you as the incoming source is of a higher resolution. This is called transcoding. For transcoding you are still receiving the source information but later converting it to whatever format you want.

What you want is the incoming source to be of a different bitrate/resolution. I would suggest getting in touch with your IPTV provider and ask them if they have streams of lower quality/bitrate because of your bandwidth capacity.

Otherwise you may be able to look at the suggestions pointed below. Check your connection itself to your IPTV player if it is reliable. Use an Ethernet cable, Check Wifi connection or upgrade (when possible) your internet connection.
