Right now I'm using an NVIDIA Shield TV on my prehistoric 1080p Samsung LED.
Looking to upgrade - is Smarters available on the Samsungs nowadays? Or any other IPTV app that's very similar?
Love the Preview screen, and the parental filtering is huge - I don't need to scroll through every international category and definitely don't need my kids viewing adult stuff.

use tivimate on the shield. its the best experience available. you're not going to find anything better than that from a smart tv app or any other device
My 2cents...going from a Shield to a SamsungTV to stream is no upgrade...the Shield is the best device to use when it comes to streaming. Samsung makes good tv’s but no streaming devices. Your sub needs to pay for the Smarters app to work on Tizen OS (SamsungTV OS) so if i were you, i would find out if your provider does or does not. But even if they don’t, you already have a Shield 😁. Now, lets say you are able to use the app in your brand new 2021 upgraded SamsungTV, the Smarters app does not work well in there. Example: you cannot add favorites, you cannot filter channels, i don’t think you can enable parental controls (im not 100% on this one)
I don't think you'll get good performance out of an app on the SmartTV vs. what you get with the Shield.
IMO, best iptv app on smart tvs is duplex. don't know if available on samsung tho
