Mag box 422W1 issue

by yabbadabbad000

So just got converted from cable TV to iptv. Friend told me to buy this box. About to set it up and the logo 'infomir' comes up in 4:3 and then the TV just goes to NO video found. Anyone seen this issue? Any fix? Or its just a faulty unit? Thanks

Edit: solution SOLUTION: So the box was set for for auto. For some reason it was recognizing my TV as PAL. So it won't turn on. I couldn't even go to settings menu. So I connected a monitor to it. Went into settings and then changed to 1080p and there we go. Works with TV now.

Do you have an iptv subscription?

Merry Christmas.

Not sure how this is an IPTV issue. It sounds like the Mag box video output isn't compatible or matching to your tv, try it on another tv or send it back.

FYI I would go with a Firestick over a mag box.

You need to go into the box setting and change the resolution of the box the only way to this this since it does not boot up is to un plug the box then hold the menu button on the remote, plug in the box and a blue screen should show up if I remember correctly all you need to do it just change the resolution to auto and then hit save and exit and that should fix that issue

Here are some idia's

Did you put your iptv server information in the settings.

if not, than unplug the ethernet cable or tell the wifi to forget your settings. reboot. The box will go into settings. Other option is when the box is starting, It says to hit menu button to go to portals or settings. When in settings make your way to network/portals and in portals put in your iptv info. (sorry if I am being confusing. It's been a while since I set this box up)

Also in setting at the bottom do an update. If you have the portal info and did an update than you should have connected to your server and see video, but try a few other channels and regions as not all work all the time.

i hope this helped and Merry Christmas
