I'm looking to buy a smart device for an old TV that I have. At the moment I'm between the Xiaomi MI TV box, AMZN Firestick or Google Chromecast.
Which one works best or has the best IPTV app?
Bonus if I can use the device to see Twitch natively or cast from my Samsung phone!!
I have a 4K fire stick and a Nvidia shield TV pro and using them with TiviMate and honestly the fire stick is just as good as it in Nvidia shield for using with IPTV.... Now if you plan on doing gaming then I would say just get the Nvidia shield but a 4K firestick is more than efficient to use with IPTV and streaming movies and TV shows... Also for the 4k firestick there are some TOOLBOXS out there that you can run that will get rid of all the AMAZON BLOATWARE which will make the 4K firestick run even faster.... if you’re worried about storage you can also expand the storage on the 4k Firestick it’s very easy to do...So if you’re only going to use the device for IPTV and streaming movies I would save some money and just get a 4K fire stick

Not a fan of the Firestick, I would go with the Xiaomi Mi TV Box, or Google TV Chromecast, both are certified by Google and have the full range of google services and they're certified Netflix, and other services.
The Firestick requires you to have an amazon prime account and the UI is too centered around Amazon Prime Video. Also you dont have Google Play Store, which means you'll have to download APK's from the internet and not all of them work properly.
The best IPTV Android box for me are the Formuler. The box it's dedicated to IPTV and can support many services with different forms. Also you can install all your favorite Android apks like Netflix, YouTube, etc...
I have the Chromecast with Google TV with TiviMate and runs fine with the same performance as the Shield Pro. I do not have experience with Fire TV but with the Chromecast or Xiaomi you do not need the extra steps as unistall the bloatware. If i would buy another device again i would wait, Google recently asked Android 10 device vendors to support AV1 by default and making the Chromecast already obsolete next year. Also Nvidia could release a new Shield this year.
I am using imPlayer with Chromecast with Google TV. no issue. I believe you can use Tivimate with Chromecast as well, you can not go wrong with either apps.
